My name is Sandy Adamson and I live on a farm on the Bushmans Nek Road in the Underberg area Kwa Zulu Natal where my husband and I run a Dairy. I also breed in conjuction with my friend who has been a breeder for many years. Her name is Ingrid and she lives in Mooi River KZN. I have always been fascinated by the happy nature of the Labrador Retriever and a number of years ago after returning to South Africa from the UK, I decided to get myself a female. Her name is Sherry and she became my shadow and very loyal companion, then one day after doing lots of research I decided to start breeding these amazing animals. I then got another female and then a male and as if that wasn’t enough I got another two females.
I have all my breeding dogs Hips & Elbows checked and will only use outside stud dogs that have also been checked. I also check for EIC(Exercise Induced Collapse) and PRA (progressive retinal Atrophy) in order to eliminate early blindness. I have been very fortunate to have been able to experience the birth and growth of a number of litters of pups. I do try my best to breed strong, healthy, happy pups. The pups are born in my home and stay inside until 4 weeks old where they get lots of attention from both humans and the other dogs. All my dogs are very spoilt with love and attention and live in our home as part of the family.
